Does it really matter!? Its the love of the game that brings us all to watch on the edge of our seats, biting our finger nails & praying for our team to score a goal of glory - to bring their team onwards to the final & eventually to win the cup!

I'm setting my heart on Brazil & England as well as Australia . . . how can I not!?! Come on Socceroos you can do it!

So far England has won their first game against Paraguay (1:0), where Beckham took the shot but it was Gamarra who accidentally deflected the ball scoring an own goal 4 minutes into the match. From there Paraguay attacked but to their demise England's defenses were stronger; goal-keeper Paul Robinson made a couple of spectacular saves!

This will probably see England going against Argentina in the 2nd round . . . we'll have to see how that goes! Argentina vs Cote d'Ivoire (6am Oz time, today).
