. . . seems like everyone has something to say about it!
Well I for one haven't read the book but I've recently watched the movie. A rather canny & stimulating movie filled with mystery. Based on how a prankster & genius, Leonardo da Vinci was believed to have hidden secret messages within his artwork—works like The Mona Lisa, The Last Supper, and Madonna of the Rocks—contain startling anomalies that all seem to be whispering the same cryptic codes. A message that hints at a shocking historical secret which allegedly has been guarded since 1099 by a European secret society known as the Priory of Sion.
I'm not much of an art fan but just in the movie I've learnt a little more of Da Vince's artwork & I'll never view "The Last Supper" the same way again. You'll know why when you've read/seen The Da Vinci Code.
Faith is believing in the unseen &
the only courage that matters is
the kind that gets you from
one moment to the next.
As the final heartbeat of the Christian is not the
mysterious conclusion to a meaningless existence.
It is the, rather, the grand beginning to a life that will never end.
For our life has no meaning in itself;
it has meaning only in relation to God.
To know God is at once the easiest & most difficult thing in the world.
It is easy b'cos the knowledge is not won by hard mental toil,
but is something freely given . . .
It is difficult b'cos there are conditions to be met &
the obstinate nature of fallen man does not take kindly to them.
