There was a study done in the Harvard University where 30 people were tested 4 times a day on how quickly they could process informaion. They were shown flashing images of diagonal lines on a screen & asked to identify which direction they were slanted. The performance of the 10 people who stayed awake the entire day declined by 50%, while the people who napped for an hour in the early afternoon did as well on their last test as on their first. Even those who napped for half an hour did better than those who did not sleep.
The other technique that helped! Is doing something else. Participants who were shown a slightly different image for the last test saw their score bounce back to their original levels.
Hope this bit of info has been inspiring . . . to work hard! Whether you choose the former or the latter; it's your own choice.
